Thank You! And You! And You!

Wow, I can't believe it's over! Yesterday's reception was a great success. There were more people than I ever expected, and I thank you ALL!

There are many, many people who helped to make this event possible. I'm sure I forgot to mention a few names at the reception Saturday, so here is a list of people who deserve special recognition:

My family and my boyfriend for helping me get the glass washed, pictures hung, food set up, and for assisting me with any random thing that had to be done
Westminster Cultural Council for generously provided funds for the project
The Townsend Gallery Committee for letting me use their facility. I could not imagine a more beautiful setting to display my artwork
Kim King for answering my many questions and helping set up the exhibit and reception
Rachel Armington for offering her advice and mat board and for use of her mat cutter
Jessica and Amanda Daigle for donating their amazing musical talent at the reception and being such supportive friends throughout my phases of anxiety
The army of bakers and those who donated food for the reception. Specifically Michelle Beauvais, Susan Daigle, Jo Ann Lyon, Sue Cote, Cheryl Johnson, Shannon, and my mom. Extra 'thank you's to my mom for organizing the refreshments so I had one less thing to worry about.
Amanda Goodale for donating her time and talent as my event photographer
Dr. Robert Carr for being an insightful advisor and project supervisor
Gregory Barry for the invaluable artistic feedback and for agreeing to be my secondary project supervisor
Petri Flint, Jessica Robey, Theresa Barry and my other art teachers for the support, advice and well-wishes
Dr. Sarah Levine and FSU Leadership Academy for the support
And finally,
To my family, friends and the faithful readers of my blog: Your interest, support and well-wishes have carried me through the last year and inspired me to make this art show to the best of my ability. Thank you a million times over.

If you weren't able to make the reception yesterday, there is still time! The show will remain on display until Friday, March 30th at the Townsend Meeting Hall Corridor Gallery, located at 14 Dudley Rd., Townsend MA (between the library and the senior center). Before you drive out, be sure to check the Townsend Library's operating hours (they are the same for the Gallery), as they are different each day of the week. And don't forget to sign the guest book next to the front door! I would love to hear from you or just see who visited.

I'll try to post pictures of the event soon. Once again, thank you all for coming, for helping, and for supporting my ambitious endeavors this year!
