I created this blog in college to record the process of creating my first individual art exhibition in 2012. The project allowed me to combine my Communications Media major and art minor as I planed, publicized, constructed, and hosted a gallery exhibit of my own art and design work (You can read about the start of the project in my first blog post: On Killing Two Birds With One Stone). After one year of planning, the show, called "Engaging Moments with Ordinary Sights," opened on March 3, 2012 in Townsend, Massachusetts. It was a great success and was well attended by community members and local artists.
Following my art exhibit, I spent the summer of 2012 abroad studying the Italian Renaissance. I used this blog to write about my daily adventures, lessons, and life in Verona, Italy.
Now, I use this blog as a place to update friends and family about my art, personal life, and career.

ART
My first solo exhibition, Engaging Moments with Ordinary Sights (2012), was based entirely on my personal experiences, sights and travels. My work mimics the vibrant colors and unique textures found in nature using a wide variety of media, my favorites of which are oil paint and pastels. Recently, I began experimenting with photography as an artistic medium and included this work in my show. Each piece reflects some element that makes me happy, which explains the abundance of vibrantly colored landscapes, flowers and natural textures. I hope that others take pleasure in my artwork as much as I enjoyed the original sights that inspired them.

CAREER
During college I embarked on a series of client projects that required my artistic background and critical thinking. These include logo designs, brand identity projects, and a website proposal. I also learned about welding and sculpting at a summer internship with sculptor Gillian Christy, and assisted in the construction of “Pathways,” a permanent installation in Fitchburg, Massachusetts that represents the history and culture of the city.
I currently work as a Marketing Associate for a non-profit organization, and as a Visitor Services Agent & Facility Rental Assistant at a museum.
